Hi! My name is Kate Keytofreedom. I am an artist with background in psychology and design, blending these disciplines to create narratives and characters that resonate with the human experience. My work is a reflection of my belief that art serves as a mirror, inviting people to connect with their own stories and emotions in an enjoyable and meaningful way. To me, art is not just a means of expression but also a powerful medium that creates a dialogue—both between the artist and the observer and within the individual's psyche.

I am particularly drawn to fairy tales and their metaphoric meaning. They give me a language to talk about the transformative journey of the hero, an allegory for the challenges, triumphs, and magical moments one encounters throughout life. Intrigued by the diverse paths people take, I use my art to explore the intricacies of human existence, examining the questions we ask and the answers we look for. My work seeks to evoke a deeper understanding of human emotions and the perpetual quest for one's own distinct path.

At the moment my process is mostly digital but I am on the journey of incorporating more of traditional painting, handcrafted techniques, embroidery and different materials such as fabric, thread, card into my art practice.
